Tilly and Puffin are all set for the summer in their new sundress, shorts and hat with matching bag and sandals, all decorated with a daisy motif.

You can combine different patterned and plain fabrics to create a mix and match wardrobe, and perhaps upcycle an outgrown child’s dress or top in a pretty print.

The garments can be varied by shortening or lengthening the shorts or dress. Make a sun-top by sewing the bodice part of the dress without adding the skirt, or shorten the skirt part to make a frill along the lower edge.

I photographed the dolls in their summer clothes up on the cliffs among the sea pinks at the beginning of the Irish summer, and I have to admit I was much more warmly dressed than them!
