I thought I’d show you my workspace, where all the puffins and other creations come to life.

I move everything around now and then to make the space work better, and it’s always revitalising to have a “new” place to work. The latest revamp includes painted pegboard to keep tools to hand, and new cutting mats for my table.

The sewing machine only comes out a couple of times a year (when the alterations/mending pile starts to topple over) so I made it a cover from vintage fabric.

The small drawers store felt scraps and spare embroidery threads, and felt and fabrics are stacked on the shelf above.

Next to be organised is the jumbled drawer full of paper patterns I use for cutting out my products, but that will be a New Year project. For now I think it just needs some fairy lights!
